Visit the downtown

With its yellow buildings and green balconies the historic centre of Lima is picturesque. Walk by its streets full of history is something you can’t miss.

Visit “Plaza de Armas”, hub of the area. Opposite you will find the Cathedral of Lima, the Presidential Palace and the City Hall. Nearby are located the convent and the catacombs of San Francisco, ideal to visit them at night if you are not afraid.

Do water sports
Lima is a city for surfers, no doubt. On the beaches they usually rent surf equipment or teach to newbies who want to venture into the waves. There are beaches with sand and with stones. Beaches located in the Miraflores area are ideal for surfing, but to the South of the city, at the seaside circuit Chachi Dibos, the sea is more calm. It is ideal for families.
Visit Huaca Pucllana
Located in Miraflores, this huaca was the religious center of pre-Incan and pre-Hispanic cultures. Several settlers occupied this site, from Limas until the Waris and the Ychmas. It has more than 30 years in restoration and it is believed that it will take much to be completely restored.

Go to the Larco Museum
If you like museums this place can be interesting for you. Its collection is composed of different pieces of pre-Columbian art, especially erotic figurines. It is located in Pueblo Libre, one of the districts of the city, in a large House that has a restaurant and a shop.
Walk through Barranco
It is the hippie area of the city. There you’ll see artisans selling their products. It has also bars and restaurants, ideal for a night visit. Its most popular attraction is the “Puente de los Suspiros”.
Try the Peruvian cuisine
