The Dazzler Hotel Maipú is located in the heart of the neighborhood of Retiro of the city of Buenos Aires, a privileged place for those who want to be close to attractions and restaurants of all kinds and an excellent choice for those who want to spend a romantic night on the town. In this post we share you some tips to organize a romantic day in Buenos Aires, in the vicinity of Dazzler Maipú.
A romantic day in Buenos Aires
After the check-in, we moved to the Florida pedestrian street to appreciate the variety of options to buy, and even visit the Galerias Pacifico, having inside the Centro Cultural Borges, as well as shops and food court. Just 8 blocks from the hotel you can lunch or a drink a coffee in a classic porteño bar, London City, located in Av. de Mayo 591. London City is one of the notable bars of Buenos Aires, famous for being named by the writer Julio Cortázar in “Los Premios”. It was opened in 1954 and refurbished for the last time in 2014.
Just across the Plaza de Mayo and you can visit the Casa Rosada for free, but it is necessary to book in advance on its web site.
The Pink House is a building dating from the end of the 19TH century, in the land that occupied the Fort of Buenos Aires.
The visit lasts about 50 minutes and cover the main sectors of the Government House as the Salon of Latin American Patriots, the balcony, the White Hall, the Presidential Office, and the Hall of busts and more.
Then, we walked by Alem street appreciating its great buildings, then turn in the mythical Corrientes Street to ascend 22 floors to Zirkel, the Café and restaurant of the German Club. Here you can enjoy a romantic sunset with incredible views of a classic postcard of Buenos Aires, the Obelisk.
If you go down and walk along Corrientes and 9 de Julio street you can appreciate the Obelisk closely and see the movement of a neuralgic point of the city.
This tour you can also make it by bike, taking advantage of the station of EcoBicis (free) that is located conveniently in the corner of the hotel.
Will be time to return to Dazzler Maipú and prepare for a special night in Puerto Madero, one of the most beautiful area of Buenos Aires, that is located only 6 blocks of the hotel. There is a great gastronomic offer: my favorites are Bice and La Parolaccia, with specialty in pastes, and Johnny B Good, american food and completely decorated for fans of the music. After dinner, you can walk and enjoy the view of the River and cross the Woman Bridge.
The perfect end of this weekend is the next morning with the delicious breakfast buffet that Dazzler Maipú offers.
