Otamendi Natural Reserve is located in the Northwest of the province of Buenos Aires, in the locations of Rio Luján and Otamendi, between the PanAmerican Route (RN 9) and the Rio Paraná de las Palamas, in Campana.   • You are not allowed to make fire because it is a protected natural area.
  • It is recommended to bring mosquitoes repellent.
  • Bring comfortable clothes, sunscreen, footwear, camera and if it is possible binoculars.

How to get there

  • By car
  • From Buenos Aires, take RN 9 (Panamericana) until the village of Rómulo Otamendi (between Escobar and Campana, at 68 km). Then continue for 2 km.  Along the main street is reached the entrance to the reserve.
  • Others transport
  • It can also be reached by bus (bus services between Once and Zárate of Chevallier leave you at km 68 Panamerican route) and railway (line Mitre Otamendi station, with transshipment in Villa Ballester). There is a regular service bus from Campana.

Opening Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 8 am to 6 pm.
  • Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays: from 10 am to 6 pm.
  • The trails close at 5 pm although you can remain in the area of picnic at 6 pm.
